My design process begins with listening and thinking carefully about what fits each idea. I focus on creating work that feels right, looks good, and works well. Whether it’s branding, layout, or personal projects, I design with clear purpose and care, not just a quick solution.

The Adrift – Book Cover

The Adrift is a conceptual book cover exploring the liminal space between life and death. The story follows a girl caught between worlds, wandering through the afterlife among restless spirits seeking peace. For this design, I used layered photography, gradients, and blending modes in Photoshop to create a dreamlike, otherworldly atmosphere that reflects the quiet tension of her journey. My goal was to visually capture the feeling of being in a space where time and identity begin to blur.

Tonalli Coffee Bag

This project quickly became one of my favorites because my approach involved referencing a real coffee bag that smelled absolutely heavenly.

The concept was inspired by Aztec and Mayan artwork, drawing on rich cultural traditions. Since coffee is grown in Central America, I felt it was the perfect way to connect the product with my roots. In the Nahuatl language, tonalli means day, the sun, or the warmth of the sun. This perfectly captured the energy and comfort that coffee brings.

Vintage Postcard

I created this postcard back in 2019, inspired by vintage Mexican designs, even though I had never been to Mexico at the time. Then, this past spring in 2025, by pure chance, I found myself driving along the narrow colonial streets of Centro Querétaro.

Seeing the vibrant colors and charming architecture in person was like stepping right into the scene I had imagined and illustrated years before. It was a special moment. It felt like my artwork and reality finally meeting.

Each year, I look forward to the local Master Gardeners Plant Sale. While the handwritten signs and charming online photos add to its appeal, I saw an opportunity to explore how a more cohesive visual identity could enhance both the event and the organization’s year-round presence.

Website Design

Valentino Ranch Website Design

This project began when the owner of Valentino Ranch, a wedding venue near Pearcy, Arkansas, gave me a personal tour of the property. He wanted me to really understand the rustic and classic feel of the venue before designing a logo that would eventually become a metal sign at the entrance.

After completing the logo, I was inspired to take the project a step further. I created a mockup website in Figma to show how the brand could come to life online. Using a mix of stock photos and images I took during my visit, I was able to capture the atmosphere of the ranch and design a site that reflects its charm.
